Vekturopis Selene? What's that? Selene = moon. Vekturopis is a made-up word, loosely derived from Latin words for logistics and resources (and then further bastardized by giving it a more Germanic spelling). My motivation for coming up with the name came from my views on space policy; I'm a proponent of in situ resource utilization and building infrastructure. Whenever you lift oxygen, aluminum, titanium, or iron out of earth's gravity well, there is something fundamentally wrong going on. Let's hear it for plastic spaceships carrying kerosene and anhydrous ammonia! That's the logistics part.
